Blogpost 2: Food Advertisements Lead to Obesity

Children are being exposed early in life to more television and more advertisements. Those commercial , consisting of the the modern junk food advertising, that influenced the lives and health of children and teens, according to studies. This may result in many negative effects upon children and youth, such as obesity, heat disease and so more.

This study has brought my attention to an important issue, that the impact of media is very pronounced. I found an article entitled, "Adult Fast Food Diets Tied to much TV as Teen" of the site washington.com. Seven Reinberg says that "Television watching impacts diet choices makes years later". Advertisements for fast food restaurant and other similar junk foods are having a big impact to teens. Watching TV times while snacking makes us more likely to eat foods which being advertised. TV viewing consumes lots of calories per day than those who watch moderate amount of TV.

Yes, that's true. Several advertisers stream their work through the television with the intention of targeting certain to children and youth. And for them to believe us. The deception of food advertising, You know the way you see a burger on TV and it looks great and big with fresh ingredients, but then, in real life, it is small, stable and flat. They were convinced us to believed that when you eat junk food everyone will be slim and healthy.

I found another article entitled, "It's the Ads, Stupid: Why TV Leads to Obesity", by Alice Park, from the site heathland.time.com. The article talks about the role of media on obesity is not just watching TV, but encourage the teen to be less physically active, but it exposed them to food advertisements that contribute to develop poor eating habits that can set kids up to for health problems as adults. According to Dr. Victor Strasburger, We created a perfect storm between media use, junk and fast food advertising, and physical inactivity”. That's why teens are experiencing obesity rates. Media such as television is the most important and under appreciated influenced on children's development and behaviour. I also encourage children and youth to involve their parents to obtain those products they desired, but if parents interface with their children's exposure to advertising, then the parents can shape the way they are influence.

I observed that obesity is the fastest growing. The first thing that comes to my mind if, I encounter to meet obese people, Is they are really healthy or fats only? Obesity is the one of the main cause problem of the other people. I encountered one person who is fat then I knew that she only eat meats instead of vagetable and nutrious food. This person is one example of obesity and they are influenced by media to eat junk foods. baste on my research, the main causes of obesity are rarely limited to genetic factors, prolonged overeating or a sedentary lifestyle.

Blogpost 1: Is it harmful?

Of real course of events, there are some specific and general kinds of food we are taking into our body. Beforehand, we may like to eat junk foods which are not nutritious and most of all not nutritious as well. But maybe somehow, we may opt to think of this kind of lifestyle we are entering into which will be the easiest one to eat, a junk food which is more affordable and instant nowadays or a nutritious food that will help to protect from diseases which are effective and more likely a traditional and systematic lifestyle of living.

The term “Junk Foods” is processed food that contains calories from fat and sugar and some substances. It is categories of either snack food or fast food. Fast Food is the term given to food that can be prepared and served very quickly while snack food is a portion of food often smaller than a regular meal.

I found an article entitled, “People who eat processed junk food are angry, irritable, say scientist”, from naturalnews.com, written by Armanda Ursell. Junk foods may lead to anger, violent behavior. Without proper nutrients our body cannot think clearly and in healthy mood which will turn to irritational and psychological behavior. According to writer “Cutting back on high-sugar foods such as chocolate, sweets and sugary drinks can help the mood swings". These foods are digested slowly, that has big changes in blood sugar levels that accompany high sugar food.

That's true. I, myself loves to eat junk foods like doughnuts, burgers, fries, pizza and so much more. It can be tough to give up, or even be confronted about bad habits. It can make us all feel a little bit squirrely, can’t it? For me, Yes. But in reality, it’s not. If often comes down to a reductionist mentality where the one confronted may rattle off something numbers based, like, “This food’s not so bad.

I found another article by Barbara Minton, Entitled  “Red Clover Blocks Neurological Damage” at Web site naturalnews.com. It talks about, if a certain foods that are additive, people experience weight loss. MSG and other chemical which is known to be highly addictive can cause neurological brain damage. But because of the taste so good, people quickly become addictive to it. According to Phyllis and James Balch in Prescription for Nutritional Healing, "the isoflavonoids in red clover fight infection, suppress appetite, and purify the blood".

Yes, That’s true. Nowadays, almost all of the foods that are using ingredients has food chemicals. For example, spaghetti, the most favorite of some kids that can lead to destroy brain cells of a child. Because a child’s brain is more sensitive than adult’s brain.

I conclude that each and everyone can eat junk foods, but we should know the ingredients of the food before we eat. Don't eat too much because it is bad to your health.
